Electronic Arts
FRAMINGHAM, Mass.--Aug. 21, 2007--Electronic Arts Inc. (EA) has signed on to exhibit at the new Entertainment for All(TM) Expo (E for All(TM)) video game event, scheduled to take place October 18-21, 2007 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, IDG World Expo announced today.

"Electronic Arts' participation reflects the essence of E for All - providing consumers with unprecedented access to the leading video game companies in the business," said Mary Dolaher, CEO of IDG World Expo, which produces the event. "No matter what role you play in the world of video games, E for All is designed for you, because its focus is on what matters - the games. A major independent developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software, EA publishes an industry-leading portfolio of titles that have sold millions of copies worldwide. EA's broad portfolio of franchises includes global perennial blockbusters from its EA SPORTS(TM) brand, including Madden NFL, FIFA Soccer and NBA LIVE. The diverse offerings from its EA(TM) brand feature wholly-owned intellectual properties such as Need For Speed(TM), The Sims(TM) and Burnout(TM) franchises, as well as key Hollywood licenses for games based on The Lord of The Rings(TM), Harry Potter(TM) and The Godfather(TM) properties. Recent EA SPORTS BIG(TM) hit titles include NFL STREET, NBA STREET and FIFA STREET. (Titles to be shown at E for All will be announced at a later date.)

EA's participation in the Expo expands the range of the latest video game titles that consumers will be able to test drive and buy at E for All before they hit store shelves for the holidays. In addition to being first to preview the newest video games and gadgets in advance of the holidays, E for All attendees will be able to participate in tournaments, compete head to head with other gamers on the show's various game stages, and take advantage of social and professional networking opportunities. With an emphasis on video games and the people who play them, E for All will bring together all members of the gaming community - from hardcore and casual gamers, developers and publishers, to industry luminaries, media and retailers.

The Sims: EA Announces MySims Created Especially for the Wii and Nintendo DS Platforms
Electronic Arts Popular Video Game Series Embraces Player Creativity, Customization and Personal Expression Through a New, Delightful Cast of Characters

REDWOOD CITY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 26, 2007--Electronic Arts (NASDAQ:ERTS) announced today that the company is developing MySims(TM), the first game in a revolutionary new line from the developers of the blockbuster franchise The Sims, designed especially for the Wii(TM) and Nintendo DS(TM) platforms.

MySims introduces a charming cast of whimsical characters while delivering the creativity, customization and classic open-ended gameplay that has enchanted Sims players worldwide. Players begin by creating their own toy-like Sim that reflects their personal style and attitudes. From pig-tails and baseball caps to dreadlocks and Mohawks, the options are endless and the style is unlike any Sims game to date. By unlocking cool new clothing, hairstyles and accessories, players explore the game's incredible depth of customization and expression... and the characters are just the beginning!

Transforming the traditional Sims gameplay for the Wii and Nintendo DS platforms, MySims moves the player to a delightful but disorganized town where -- thanks to the easy and unique controls -- they can re-shape everything and make it their own. The town is rundown, but the player can make it much more dynamic. Using a selection of building blocks, unique patterns and engaging creativity tools, players can design furniture and appliances, architect new homes and businesses, and re-define the entire MySims landscape!

As players explore and build up the town, they will get to know dedicated, long-time residents like the always-busy Mayor Rosalyn P. Marshall and Buddy -- the mostly-lazy hotel Bellhop. Once things start to look up, they'll meet and choose from a variety of colorful, would-be residents. Will they build a restaurant for Gino Delicioso the Italian Chef, or will they help Ocean Breeze set up his Yoga studio instead?

Design is everyone's domain in MySims. From building a new Pizza Oven for Gino to putting the finishing touches on a new roof for Buddy's busy hotel, each completed task will help the town grow. As it expands to new areas, players will receive special building blocks, decorations and patterns which help customize their unique creations. From furniture and buildings to the town as a whole, every choice informs how residents and visitors feel and behave.

"We want MySims to provide a creative play experience like never before on a video game system," said Executive Producer Tim LeTourneau. "By giving players the tools to create literally any kind of world they want in MySims, we're reinforcing the idea that the players create the magic. Will the town support a plethora of spooky, mysterious townsfolk -- or buzz with the laughter and smiles of fun-loving Sims? It's your call! In MySims, what players make... makes all the difference!"

MySims will be available for the Wii and Nintendo DS platforms in fall 2007.

Electronic Arts: Investor Relations Unveils New Sims Titles
Electronic Arts Investor Relations Unveils New Sims Titles For those of you who trade stock, you're very well aware of such conference calls. For the rest of us, these conference calls serves as the medium where shareholders can grill the board of directors (like EA) and inquire about profits. Sum it up, profits are on track for EA as they've predicted. The entire conference call lasted about 2 hours.

But their 30 minute Q&A session with shareholders, investors, proved some valueable information.

Sims on Next-Gen Consoles

CFO Warren Jenson confirmed The Sims is coming to next generation platforms, specifically for The Wii and the PS3:

"There is a Sims title that is being specifically developed for the Wii platform," said Jenson. "The Sims II holiday edition on PS3 is also coming," said the executive. The release forecast for the game to arrive is either in the 2006 or 2007 holiday season.

SimCity

For us die-hard SimCity fans, yes it's finally official. A new SimCity title is officially in the works.

"There will be another Lord of the Rings [game]... There's a new SimCity game in the pipeline and the next-generation version of Black. Those things alone are all new, relative to fiscal '07," said Jenson.

Spore

This drew up probably some real excitement. You can hear it within the board of directors voices and I bet investors are really happy.

Commenting the progress of Spore, EA's North American publishing boss Frank Gibeau said, "The development on Spore is going great. As you know, it's an extremely ambitious and innovative game. Will and the team over at Emeryville are making strong progress and we're excited about that game shipping in the next fiscal year."

The Sims...3?

Wow, it just seems like not too long ago we were grabbing our mitts on The Sims 2. But Wait...The Sims 3? Yes confirmed early development is starting and expected to be a 2009 launch title. FOr those of you who just want to wait for The Sims 3, well, you do have 2-3 years to wait.

Discuss away! :-)
